COB light strip production process flow

Cob light strip is a new type of high brightness, high visibility linear light strip. Its appearance is exquisite, the product color is highly consistent, the light is even, soft, and bright, and it can achieve multi-level waterproof. It adopts inverted packaging technology, with good heat dissipation, low heat, long service life, and other excellent characteristics.

Craftsmanship achieves excellent quality. Cob light strip production materials:

LED chips, solder paste, PCB circuit board, fluorescent powder, silicone, terminals, back glue, reel, flip chip solidification machine, reflow soldering, dispensing machine, testing instrument, soldering machine, mixer.

Cob light strip production process flow:

1. First, the PCB solder pad is coated with solder paste through an automatic solder paste brushing machine. The uniformity and thickness of the solder paste determine the quality and flatness of the soldering film, as well as the quality of the soldering chip.

2. Load the PCB board coated with solder paste onto the carrier, input and set the solidification program of the chip through computer programming, debug the direction and height of the solidification, and confirm the electrode direction of the chip.

3. First, conduct a small batch of solid crystal testing, inspect the appearance quality of the PCB with good solid crystal, determine the direction of the solid crystal, whether there is solder paste, and whether the position of the solid crystal is correct. Then, flow the inspected product into the next process.

4. Place the fixed PCB board and chip into reflow soldering, set the reflow soldering temperature and speed, firmly solder the LED chip in reflow soldering, and conduct electrical testing after discharge to test whether the LED chip emits light normally.

5. After testing the LED chips on the PCB board, carry out the powder mixing process of silicone and fluorescent powder. According to the photoelectric parameters such as color temperature and brightness specified by the customer, configure them in different proportions, and perform positive air defoaming on the prepared adhesive.

6. Fix the PCB board on the dispensing equipment for dispensing process. The dispensing process is the most critical process for the success of the light strip. After dispensing, place the PCB board in the oven for baking.

7. After dispensing, perform photoelectric parameter testing on the light strip after baking to see if the test data meets the customer's requirements.

8. After welding the 0.5 meter PCB board, connect it to meet the requirements of 5-10 meters. After backing the adhesive, wrap the light strip in a reel.

9. Transfer to mass production after small batch testing and production without any abnormalities

The overall process of producing COB light strips is relatively complex, and each step is related to the quality of the light strips. It is necessary to treat each step rigorously to ensure high-quality finished products.

As a new type of linear lighting product, Cob light strips do not have absolute cost advantages compared to traditional linear lighting products. With the continuous maturity of subsequent processes and the gradual completion of the industrial chain, Cob light strips will definitely shine brightly.
